Mil-Spec Information

Since our inception in 1995, EL Wood has been certified and approved
as a direct supplier to the United States Department of Defense. To successfully achieve certification we had to pass extensive inspection by the US Defense Industrial Supply Center. This process included:

• Analysis of our quality control procedures

• Review of our traceability processes to monitor all manufacturing steps

• Certification of our laboratory capabilities to test and monitor material integrity. Certification is required every three years and manufacturing equipment is calibrated and certified annually.

Our ability to meet Mil-Spec standards for braided cords is a reflection of our internal standards and our constantly expanding engineering and manufacturing capabilities. From our knowledge of raw materials and their properties, to our traceability processes for every step of manufacturing, we are able to provide finished goods with consistent superior quality that our customers rely upon.
